contend for the faith.

That truth may go forth as light

to reveal all that’s living

within the darkness from our sight.

Don’t be deceived into thinking

you’re the one who judges as right,

with a stance which pressures

to keep the world at bay,

when it may be God whose knocking

to speak to your heart

and bring you peace

to your worn and weary soul.

Come take my hand

in His pattern from above,

meet my Savior whose song

can be found within prayer

where knowing Him is gained

as entrance into His intimacy.

For the battle is His

in this wilderness

with weapons that are not carnal.

Let His joy have its way

‘til you’re restored alive

and completion replaces decay with life,

For I’ve spoken the truth in love.
